After being tasked with creating an exhibition design proposal for a fictitious Damien Hirst exhibit at Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera, I came up with a graphic style that capitalizes on a concept of blurred focus. By blurring the imagery typically associated with Hirst's work, I hope to entice the viewer into examining his work beneath the surface and delving deeper into the exhibit. The last image shows the runner up for my exhibition poster proposal. I have decided to include it to pay homage to an obsession with white space that I have decided to forego in this proposal.
All images are not mine and are the explicit property of Damien Hirst. Images were used for the sake of the assignment exercise in order to simulate the process of designing for a real client.
