Augmented Reality Face Filters

I taught myself Spark AR and jumped in by creating custom face filters for Bright Lite Magazine based off of their signature stickers. The filters have been out for about two weeks now and have over 111,600 impressions and have been captured 12,880 times. This project has been especially fun for Bright Lite’s adolescent readers to engage with the brand and share their selfies with us, and I was so fortunate to be given the opportunity to leverage this new skill. I have now begun creating more and more face filters, and they will be available on instagram at @jaimedidit very soon!

These face filters were created as a project to teach myself how to use Spark AR, in conjunction with Bright Lite Magazine.

An example of how users interact with the face filters on their own accounts. The filters have been a big hit amongst the Bright Lite reader base to connect with the brand during Quarantine

03. Augmented Reality face filters are a fun, interactive way for your followers to engage with your brand. They can take your brand from just a product/ service offering to tangible and relatable for viewers and can drive exposure for your business. My process for creating face filters with brands includes:

1. An initial consultation and discussion of your brand and its available and recognizable brand elements. We will also discuss things like type of face filter, timeline, expectation, desires, and target audience.

2. Go Time: I will create the face filters requested and offer 2 rounds of revisions. The timeline for this will be client specific, but minimum 48 hour turn around.

3. Uploading & Analytics: I will guide you through the Spark AR hub submission process to get the filters added to your Brand Instagram Page. I will also work with you to understand your analytics associated with your new filters, and teach you how to track them yourself.
